We had such a fun trip to the zoo with some very good friends recently. My friend, Kristen and I, decided to load our kids up and take them to a zoo that is about an hour away. The kids really enjoyed it. Rush and Fran's friend, Avery, is such a sweet, sweet girl. My two just love her! We got there as soon as it opened that morning, and it was a wonderfully overcast day. Normally, overcast/nearly rainy day for a zoo visit would seem like a bad thing. Just live anywhere in the south in the summer to know that a cloudy day is quite the treat! Was it hot? YES, OH YES!! But, it could have been worse! We packed a picnic lunch and took it with us. The kids lasted a long time. We got there at 9:00 and didn't leave until around 2:00. No one even got a little bit cranky! :-) We will definitely go again sometime soon.
